It would be nice if Jux parms/code wasn't soooo obfuscated

The parameters are zipped to reduce size to 1/3 and base64 encoded for safe and reliable copy/paste.
The raw parameter files are text with name=value pairs, with some efficiencies, such as encoding gradients as a versioned series of numbers.
As Jux doesn't have a formula compiler, the formula parameters are just a formula ID, variable number of parameters and the usual view, zoom, bailouts, etc. Most of the parameters are for color and lighting if used.
To see the actual formula and settings, one needs to paste parameters (or open a file) in Jux anyway (doesn't have to be  registered unless you want to render it larger). Most Julia/Mandelbrot formulas are shown in the UI (or at least documented in the Help if they don't fit), so locations can be replicated in other programs.

Some formulas are more complicated than a single formula, so not so easily replicated. My Gnarls for example are a super version with 10 parameters, though it can be standard if some parameters aren't used. I can usually provide more information about formulas if anyone asks.
