Does anyone have a small C++ solution for font rendering in OpenGL?

https://www.opengl.org/archives/resources/features/fontsurvey/ has example code :D covering different techniques, bitmaped, texture and outline ttf

FTGL and GLF seem to be the best options

I ended up getting it working by doing the text drawing on the CPU.
