numerical aproximation of the scalar field gradient

Hi

I'm learning how to aproximate the scalar field gradient. It was done earlier using rk4 by biltavis




 
I'm learning it and made 2 images:


Vectors showing finite difference between center point and n point on the circle around center. Maximal difference aproximates gradient



Difference as a function of angle ( in turns) of points on above cirlce




What do you think about it ?
