FractView on Android function query

I've installed the current version of the Fractview app on my Android phone, and I've been playing with the formula expression area to try to create something I haven't seen before.

This expression:

z^3 (sqr abs z) + p

Produces quite a good fractal, but I want to explore it in FractInt so I tried to convert it but it doesn't show the same way.

I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong.

I assumed (possibly incorrectly) that the formula actually is:

z^3 * (sqr(abs(z))) + p

But in fractint this doesn't show the same fractal as I see in Fractview.

Anyone offer me any suggestions?

I'm finding it mightily hard to get any information on what can or cannot be placed in the Expression box in FractView, even after scouring the author's website on wordpress, so I'm hoping someone on here will have an idea.

Sorry I cannot provide a photograph of what that formula looks like on FractView until I have posted this, but I may be able to edit it and include that photo after.

is it one of Mothbrot 5th 2x3 or Mothbrot 5th 3x2 in latest KF?

Hi, I am actually the creator of Fractview, so you get some first-hand information that might be useful for others too.

Your formula is 'z^3 sqr abs z + p', and the way precedence works, 'sqr abs z' is part of the exponent, ie, 'z^(3 sqr abs z) + p'. You might have intended 'z^3 * sqr abs z + p' which produces a fractal similar to Simonbrot. Also, most other fractal generators use 'c' instead of 'p' (including the re-implementation of Fractview, Fract).
