Scientists on Saturday uncovered a glaring hole in the dynamical theories of Newton and Einstein, which may require revising the laws of physics and possibly all of epistemology.

Astronomers at the Arecibo radio telescope were shocked to discover subtle perturbations in the orbits of the sun and the planets in our solar system, which together suggest that the heliocentric model of our solar system is incorrect, and that the sun and stars in fact orbit around a different centre of gravity.

Further analysis using CERN supercomputing clusters showed that the gravitational centre was somewhere on Earth, and a ragtag group of physicists set out to triangulate its position, despite their superiors instructing them not to investigate, citing national security interests.

The centre was discovered to occasionally move, and was in the vicinity of the internet website "Fractal Forums". By a careful study of user permissions over time, it was determined that the centre of our solar system, and possibly the entire universe, is Fractal Forums user pauldebrot.

News outlets following the story were beaten to the punch by a statement from Jim Bridenstine, newly minted chief of NASA: "This is not alltogether surprising, considering our enormous efforts to hide the true nature of reality from pauldebrot". "We definitely owe him an apology, and a DAMN good reason," said Professor Brian Cox, who was also in on the conspiracy. "This Truman Show-like situation where we all work to keep pauldebrot in the dark cannot continue. It's bad enough that we have the cosmic censorship hypothesis."

He added cryptically, "and while you're at it, please fix the damn galaxy rotation curve problem".

ahhh... I think I understand the proposed helio-eccentric model, but where would we be without such a model ??? lost I'm affraid  :-[

Is there any software to model a relatively simple fractal (2D)?
