Great thread idea!

Will try these :)

I usually go more for the electronic-ambient vibe:

Crystal Vibe - Inside (Change is the only constant)  - which I find a lovely name regarding fractals

Unlikely collaboration between Walt Disney and Salvador Dali considered to risque for general release at the time.
Original music track  was replaced by a 3rd party which seems preferable to me.

My teenage years were in the height of  "psychodelia"  when the likes of Pink Floyd and others brought about the era  of teenage music in a massive way.
Not an overly big fan of Pink Floyd though I would not turn down a free concert ticket or two.   :D   My earliest recollection was their 1967 single "See Emily Play" probably their first commercial success.

Music today is by comparison is  corporate managed  and very bland and lacking in originality, do they even know how to read music or play instruments?   Hoping to see Raymond Rieu next year in London, yes my tastes have changed as I get older but 60's 70's music still rocks.   O0

There is so much new music being created now by independent artists.
We have to look for it in obscure places because of it's independent nature.

There is also a vast amount of older music that was ignored by the 60's and 70's radio stations.
It is available on Youtube and Spotify and..

British and German TV had fantastic shows featuring music groups.
America not so much.

Look at some of the videos in my first post and start exploring the related videos suggested by Youtube.
It can lead us on a long and winding road. :peace:

Yes I'm a subscriber of ZDF music channel for some time even though I don't speak a word of German.    ::)

"San Base" is another favorite of mine for music and fractal real time GPU animations.  He came to the old fractal forums a couple of years ago asking about GPU fractal software, seems he went off and coded his own.
He has been quiet more recently though.  His channel has some remarkable fractal fly through's.

Usually when I am zooming I listen the song which is going to be the main theme for that song. That way I can think about which colours and shapes would fit. In most cases I listen to instrumental rock and progressive rock/metal but also a lot of post-rock:

Sithu aye - Set course for andromeda
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQsAmJUCcg4

Plini - The end of everything
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeQ5Nd3I3YI

Halcyon (plini) - Pastures

Cosmogenesis - Gru

Pomegranate tiger - Boundless
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9769CTA6h7A

Joe Satriani - Black swans and wormhole wizards
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC_ur5cLMug

Ibuiltthesky - The sky is not the limit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cutAeNVAujg

Intervals - The shape of colour
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7FbmlPN_Kk

Scale the summit - In a world of fear
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYZzm84iDD0

Arch echo - Arch echo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI1zdXLflqs

Underfate - Seven

Distant dream - It all starts from pieces
