Put post transform scaling into pre transforms
« on: December 13, 2020, 09:20:37 PM »
I'm writing a blog about rendering text in Chaotica. It's nowhere near done so any feedback is definitely welcome! I want to provide an intuitive tool that people can use to see what affine transforms do.

It works like a charm on the Sierpinski gasket. So far, so good. But this is only because no post transforms are used. The Barnsley Fern for example largely falls outside the bi-unit square (range 0. to 1.). I can easily fix this with post transforms, but would rather not introduce another topic to the blog. Is there a way to transfer post transform scaling and translating to pre transforms so that only pre transforms are needed?

My blog can be found here: https://matigekunstintelligentie.com/2020/11/15/text-in-chaotica/
