Hello All,

Just came across Fractal Art and I really enjoy the results. It seems I've come across this at a late stage in it's life (Apophysise web sit no longer there etc). I have been working with Apophysis as well as UF 6 so far. The help I need is where I can go to gather information and how to's. Right now for me it's really hit and miss as to what to do except to just keep pressing buttons (figure of speech) and see what happens. I've been on Deviantart and UF6 forums but haven't found a lot of information for those that are brand new.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Terry

For Ultra Fractal, Janet Parke's course is well worth the cost. http://www.infinite-art.com/index.about.courses.php

For Apophysis, here are a couple of starting points:
Stan Ragets, "Fractal Art for Beginners": https://design.tutsplus.com/series/fractal-art-for-beginners--cms-733
Stacy Reed, "Apophysis Tutorial: https://www.deviantart.com/sya/art/Apophysis-Tutorial-10781352
Ian Anderson, "Learning Apophysis": https://learningapophysis.wordpress.com/ (this is a blog and it wants to show you the newest posts, but you probably want to start with the oldest ones)

Since you're just getting started, you may want to check out JWildfire. It makes fractal flames, like Apophysis, but has more features, is regularly updated, and you don't have to worry about plugins. But the interface is different. The website is http://jwildfire.org/. You can find lots of resources at https://www.jwfsanctuary.club/, as well as two very active Facebook groups: https://www.facebook.com/groups/JWildfireOpenGroup/ and https://www.facebook.com/groups/jwfsanctuary/.
