I'm currently working on a paper about mandelbulbs, and I'm trying to use the voxel renderer as a volume estimation (the method would be comparable to counting pixels for mandelbrot sets, which is a method I'm citing). I have two main issues with doing so.
-I'm not sure what defines the 'viewing box' of the renderer. If I don't know what the dimensions are of the box or a pixel, then my volume calculations would be quite arbitrary. Is there any way to determine the size of the rendered space that I'm somehow missing?
-I'm working with one of the easier-explained Mandelbulbs - the 2nd power as created by the integer power formula (I assume this is the White/Nylander trig formula? Correct me if I'm wrong). I'm getting empty spaces in the voxel slice renders in the bulbs to the left of the main cardenoid. When I look at the middle of the Mandelbulb via the Cutting panel, I don't see the empty space.
I would love to use higher-definition voxel scans, but I don't want to have to fill in all the empty spaces, especially if I make a mistake and fill in a slide that is genuine.

If there is a better method for volume calculation/estimation within the program, let me know. I'll probably still use voxels either way as they would be a tie-in to Mandelbrot volume estimation, but it would still be nice.

I ended up solving the voxel rendering issue with switching from Distance Estimation to Max. Iteration, but I still don't know what the bounds are for the rendering 'box' used (aka I don't know how to find the size of a single voxel because I don't know the size of all the voxels). I could take an educated guess...?
