Is there a linux version of Mandelbulb 3D?
I've recently switched over from Windows to Linux in its entirety. I can run MB3D in wine, but there are issues with the forumula directory and it prevents fractals from rendering.

If there isn't a native linux version, do you have any advice on how to get the program working?

There's no Linux-version of Mb3D  :(
The way to use it on Linux is either under Wine or if you feel more adventurous via XP Virtual Machine from VMWare.
I am sorry I cannot give you any tips on how to go about, I'm on Win myself...

That figures. I assumed as much when I couldn't find anything about linux here or on the MB3D website.

The program itself runs, but I think I'm going to have to move it into the .wine directory so that it can access windows filenames.

I'm using MB3D with Wine for 6 or 7 years for now and never had any issue.
Use Winetricks for linking the program. Select default wineprefix --> Run winecfg.
You can link MB3D on the Drives tab adding a new drive, if your MB3D is on another drive (recommended) or link it on the C: drive.
Also add the program at the aplications tab. Personally on Graphics tab, I uncheck 'Let window manager decorate the windows' (or so, I use spanish).
Make sure to link folders also on the INI directories from MB3D itself.

Thanks for the heads up. I was having the issue with the ini file and after I went in and modified it, the program seems to be working, but I haven't had a chance to give it a proper go yet. I'll run Mb3d again tomorrow and then report back.

Everything is working fine and as expected with Wine. It really was just making sure that .ini file was pointing to the right directories.

Happy to know it. Glad it helped you. In fact, no matter where MB3D is located in Linux or Windows, if Ini directories matches :)
