##### (Problem)Automating animations
« on: September 17, 2019, 01:35:00 PM »
Hi Guys,

I am currently trying to get mandelbulb3d to launch, open an animation (m3a file) and start rendering automatically.

Solving this is the last step I need to be able to render online. I am currently able to AWS E2C instances to render online, but the price to render a 5 minute 4k video @60FPS is roughly $3000usd. By using Linux servers and WINJARing mandelbulb3d the cost is reduced to$400 usd. (1/10th of the price for Linux servers, but WINJAR is 90% efficient). By utilizing the spot pricing payment structure this price can be reduced by 80% again. (now \$80usd per video). Spot pricing is where you bid on servers and the highest price wins. This means that you can get a server at any time, then if someone outbids you, your server instance is instantly terminated. This means that it is imperative to get the server up and rendering mandelbulb3d as soon as you get the server. I have worked out how to download mandelbulb3d onto the server and open but cannot work out how to interact with it.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to achieve this, it would be greatly appreciated. I also plan on making a tutorial on how to do this as I believe it could be revolutionary in rendering fractals.

Cheers,
Lue
