You may have seen several books written with ?21 Days? in the titles. It is usually about forming habits like better eating or exercise, etc. Or it could be learning a new skill that requires repetition. The idea is to do it for 21 days.
Many of the books in this genre will point you to scientific studies that prove (so they say) doing anything daily for 21 days will make it a habit. It?s as though this is a threshold that pushes your brain into the correct mode to make it happen.
Whether or not it is valid scientific proof regarding 21 days is up for debate. It may be true, or it may be something that is used to sell more books. One thing is clear, you will get more comfortable by repeating activities over and over again.

You don?t need scientific evidence to prove that if you practice guitar every day for an extended duration, you are going to get better at it. This is true for many things, not just musical instruments. Whatever your craft, hobby or vocation, repetition is going to make you more proficient.

Practicing your craft daily, however, can get boring for a lot of people. That?s why it?s important to change things up whenever you can. If you are practicing guitar, for example, and you are practicing your scales, try to find songs where you can use the scales. It?s certainly more fun to play scales when in the context of a song.

Push yourself to make whatever you are practicing fun. You will be more willing to continue with the practice when you do this. It can be tough for some types of crafts to practice in the company of others. For instance, if you are first learning how to sing, you probably won?t hit all the right notes, and your voice will crack.

Having unintended audiences such as family members may make it difficult to continue. If this is the case, try to find a place in your house or other places where you can be alone.

When people want something bad enough, they will do what it takes to get their daily practice time in.
