General information about Mandel Machine
« on: October 25, 2017, 12:09:28 AM »
Since there were 0 threads in this subforum:

Mandel Machine is "a highly efficient Mandelbrot set explorer developed by Botond K?sa". It can be downloaded here:
http://web.t-online.hu/kbotond/mandelmachine/

The most important features I think are:
1. use of assembly language and modern instruction sets for the best speed possible
2. perturbation and series approximation with automatic glitch detection and repair
3. up to 32 threads
4. up to 2^10000 magnification
5. graphical interface similar to Ultra Fractal

There is a lot more information in the previous fractalforums subforum:

thx for adding this here and putting a crosslink to all the info at ff1.
I wish Botond hadn't stopped working on it - it was (edit: is!) such a promising program. but it crashed my system constantly - and the missing animation feature was kind of a showstopper for me personally. still loving the GUI and workflow..

I like Mandel Machine. The interface is very intuitive and it is very easy to use. And it doesn't crash on my computer =P Also I converted the parameters of fractals created with Kalle's Fraktaler to Mandel Machine format to post-process the fractal.
A question, Mandel Machine and Kalle's Fraktaler use the perturbation algorithm to get very deep fractals. Are there other free fractal software that use perturbation?

Thanks, Adam.
But I was looking for something more user-friendly. And I have never compiled from git.

question
May we please add a Gallery for Mandel Machine?
