I'll probably sound like an idiot for saying this, but:

News 2017-08-26: Check out the new version on Claude Heiland-Allen site and the new version of KeyFramesMovie64. The distance estimation coloring method is updated and KeyFramesMovie64 is improved with the alpha blend method.

I went on the website and didn't find a new version of anything Kalles Fraktaler-related. I scrolled down and saw Kalles Fraktaler 2.11.1. I wouldn't expect anything to change on Karl Rumno's program since he told me there were going to be no more updates.

The webpage of Claude's versions is here: https://mathr.co.uk/kf/kf.html
It's unclear to me how to find it from the homepage of the website. This was linked to at fractalforums.com.

The original website is: http://www.chillheimer.de/kallesfraktaler/ , which does link to the correct page on my site, with this text:

News 2017-04-06: Check out Kalles Fraktaler compiled with mingw

The correct page on my site is as Dinkydau said: https://mathr.co.uk/kf/kf.html

I should definitely improve my homepage https://mathr.co.uk , because at the moment it just redirects to my blog https://mathr.co.uk/blog/ , where older things get harder to find as I post new things.  Thanks for the small push, I'll try to get around to it this week.

Thanks for the 411! Sadly, I was unable to set up a 32-bit version of the improved version of Kalles Fraktaler.

That is correct, it is 64bit-only for now (I will put compiling a 32bit version on the TODO list).

Version 2.12.1 available now from my site includes a 32bit version too (there are both kf.32.exe and kf.64.exe in the zip).  I haven't tested it much.  On the same hardware it will probably be significantly slower than the 64bit version (assuming you can run both), as it must be compiled to work on really ancient machines, and I think it won't utilise the newer instructions like SSE etc.

Thank you for that! Now, I'll be able to render images that are deep and dense. Even though my computer has outlived its lifespan (it's a 7+ year old desktop still running Windows XP), it's still beefier than many such older machines.

If it's only 7 years old the CPU itself must be 64 bit. You can install the 64-bit version of windows xp if you want to stick to windows xp.

I'm not sure how old it was: 7 is just a minimum guess. It's probably older.  It's a 32-bit computer.
