Nice! There seems to be a lot of the biological realm within fractals.

Indeed, there does, though I suspect it may be more that there's a lot of fractals in the biological realm. It's easy to get a big thing with a huge surface area, such as a lung or a circulatory system or a tree, with a minimum of code if you just iterate a simple rule enough times, but if you make a big complex object in that particular way you invariably end up with a fractal. At the same time, the smaller an organism's code size (on DNA) the faster it can replicate and the rarer it will have a lethal mutation. So ... fractals.
