Hello, for the fractals I have posted I have used a software which I am coding myself (available at, this picture is the example 1c!

To obtain the effect of this one I have taken two different colormaps (the fire and ice colormaps in Julia, which is my programming language of choice) and joined them together, and I have repeated the colormaps two times, so that we get the "repeated colors" effect. I have then mapped the iteration counts (i.e. the number of iterations of z = z^2+c required to obtain abs(z)>2) to the inverse (counts -> counts^-1) and I have colored the pixels with infinite values (i.e. where the number of counts was 0) in black.
If we create an heatmap with such colormap and counts we get this result ^^
