Another good one that could be excellent with a bit more oversampling. (Just look how good the thumbnail looks!) Try rendering at 3x final size and downsampling.

I actually heavily reworked the algorithm to provide much smoother ambient lighting (not really visible in this underground scene). So this time it is just down to an issue with not enough antialiasing.

I think the main problem is my AA method is conservative, only sampling directly within each pixel. If I expanded the sample range to be 1.5 or even 2 pixels, it would most likely smooth out the image much nicer (at the loss of a little shapness).

But upping the resolution is also a distinct possibility. I should try both for the next one :)
