Thanks very much for making this tutorial Stephen. It was ideal for me because I'm familiar with Mandelbulber and ready to experiment with animation. I'm still doing CPU rendering because I want to use custom materials and the last time I checked-out from git only one material was available with OpenCL rendering. Your OpenCL render speeds are impressive.

On the subject of materials, I've had good results making them with the images here.
Making materials is easy using Gimp. Gimp is also useful for removing pixelation in MDBB images with extra anti-aliasing.
