Some time ago I made some zooms into "buddhabrot" images (full-sized images are availabe here):

A "buddhabrot" is composed of many traces (or orbits) of the complex number Z during the iteration.
Usually only diverging Z orbits are painted (i.e. which escape to infinity).

The following images show some single Z orbits (more of such images can be seen here).

Great images! :)

The image threads(not yet accepted by the masses ;)) are supposed to be used by only the threadstarter for new images, kind of a portfolio with all works of on user in one place.
Thus I split your topic into its own image thread. (please edit the first post title to your liking)

I really am totally in love with the Buddhaset - the extra dimension of information you get from the single trajectories is mindblowing. especially when you layer only a few, long iteration chains over the usual low iteration render. the added structure...

Hope to see more from you here and maybe lead some discussions about this neglected rendermethon.

I made a quick experiment and combined 3 single source images of large "Z orbits" to one color image.

Attached are 2 examples - one consisiting of 3 colors (red, green blue), and another consisting of 6 colors (red, green blue, yellow, cyan, magenta).
