 O0 do they cover different versions of windows? NT/7/8/10
Fragmentarium is not a toy, it is a very versatile tool that can be used to make toys ;)

RE: the GPU watchdog timeout...

When FragM is run for the first time it shows a "Welcome Note" where the GPU timeout thing is explained and it mentions where to get the info to fix it.
You can see this at any time by going to the help menu and selecting "Welcome Note" or "FAQ", this info has been there since before I took on development of FragM.

Recent changes in github sources...

black screen or wrong values when locking or setting uniform widgets that are used by the buffershader - fixed afaict

loosing textures when switching tabs - fixed afaict

uniforms not being set properly when loading a frag file or applying a preset from fqs (Fragmentarium Qt Script) - fixed afaict

double values loosing precision when set from fqs and other places  - fixed afaict (thanks @claude)

added Log To File option, when enabled all log output is redirected to fragm.log file in the same folder as the executable, but you can set the path and filename in the Edit->Preferences dialog (thanks @Sabine62)

added full length filename as a tool-tip to the fragment tabs, just hover your mouse pointer over a tab for a moment and it should show you the filename (thanks @Sabine62)

...will generate a binary release for linux and windows after some testing ;)

I recently pushed some changes to github and rebuilt the executables.

Added some comments and testing for GL version and profile around what might be trouble spots, hopefully this stabalizes things a bit. I,ve been looking at Qt 5.12 and the gl stuff is certainly evolving...
QVulkanWindow??? I smell rewrite required getting closer and closer.

Lots of refactoring, uncovered a few bugs with clangtidy and caused a few, but now all Example frags render properly, even the odd ones...

Windows and Linux executables at https://github.com/3Dickulus/FragM/releases

Sorry no OSX build and no Linux appimage.

When the autorun is disabled, it drops immediately after launch. If autorun is enabled from another version of FragM, there is no drop.
Tested on two computers with Windows XP and Windows 7 systems.

Apparently, I did not correctly describe the problem.
Autorun On Load is disabled on the FragM 723 and it immediately produces an error after starting
But if you enable Autorun On Load from another version of the program, then there is no crash and the fragment starts normally.

.... FragM can not stand the black preview window now?

Oh dear.... oops. I understand. I see the problem. Will fix asap!

ok found this...

run program
 -> Crashed last time dialog
     click disable Auto run on load
all seems well but mouse click in text editor crashes immediately :(

run again
 -> Crashed last time dialog
     click disable Auto run on load
all seems well
Select "Build"
running normally after build no crash

...working on it...
