Ok so i'm very very new to this and have some questions about cpu usage.
I'm using Apophysis right now, when i render it uses aprox 15% cpu max... is that normal? Is there a way to use 100% ?
It looks like it's a good software but i was wondering what software would be the best one or which one you like to use?
Thanks a lot :)

Each software has many features and gives nice images, I think there are not a best one, but different one.

Sorry I can't help you about using more of the processor's power in Apophysis, has been ages since I played with it, and I have no clue if there is any setting addressing computer resource use :)

And I agree with gerson, there are so many fractal programs out there, I would not know where to begin with recommending any particular one ;)
The ones I personally like best are Fragmentarium, Mandelbulb3D and Infinity.
Since you are using Apophysis you might feel most at home with programs like Chaotica and JWildfire.

Maybe you'd like to take a look here https://fractalforums.org/downloads/10
and here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal-generating_software

Good luck! :)

Thanks!
I'll have a look at theses because apophysis seems to have issues here, sometimes the render doesnt start and now i started one last night it worked for 16hours and now that it,s 100% finished it's freezing there and the file is not rendered on the hard drive -_-

Oh no, that's a nightmare, losing so many hours worth of rendering... :(
I hope you'll soon find something that behaves better! I have heard of people creating there flame in Apo and then loading and rendering it in Chaotica, though I do not know why. Maybe they run into issues like you?
Anyway, good luck! :)

Ah ok thanks !! And about the fractal zooming videos, i dont see anything related to this in the software, is it with another software?

welcome to the forum!

I think the majority of fractal zooms on youtube are made with kalles fraktaler.
https://mathr.co.uk/kf/kf.html

using this to create a movie
http://www.chillheimer.de/kallesfraktaler/mmy/

kf is my favourit 2d renderer, mostly because of it's incredible speed and many formulas. it can be a bit overwhelming for starters though. feel free to ask questions here if you need a bit support.

Ok thanks a lot i will check this today.
Is there a way i can animate like this but using my .flame file i created in aphophysis 7x?

I like many programs. Some of then I didn't try because my machine is outdate but I think they are good as Fragmentarium, Fractal by Kosalos ...  and others are comercial so it's necessary to buy a licence..
Some features exist in someone and didn't in others, so sometimes is necessary to choose what one will use.
For example if you want videos problably need to use Kalles Fraktaler, maybe xaos and Ultra Fractal. If you want to work with layers you will need softwares that have this feature like Infinity Fractal, Ferry Man Fractal, Ultra Fractal and so on.
To flame's video take a look jwildfire:

it can load apophysis flame files.

fractorium is a free flame renderer, with OpenCL support for using GPU (needs good drivers, otherwise CPU works fine too).

flame fractals are not normally used for zooming videos, because efficiency drops off when zooming in due to the plotting method - most calculated points end up not contributing to the image...
