Hello all!!! :D :embarrass:

It seems that the original creators of the 3D fractal goddess from 2003 Nakamura & Ahara finally opened a website that shares openly the source code to generate their mysterious fractal.

Web page: https://sphairahedron.net/
The page contains the usual info, but also a link to:

https://soma-arc.net/SphairahedronExperiment/
The page contains a live shader :awe:that can generate lots of interesting data and images, but there is also a tiny link, precisely:
https://github.com/soma-arc/SphairahedronExperiment/tree/master/src/shaders
That apparently contains some .frag files  :awe:

I hope this will be of interest C:-)

Yes it is very nice, hopefully I can run it as a frag and then more easily save where I have got to before my browser freezes ! At present i screenshot my settings so I can get back to where I was!

It's beautifull. Throught slightly less beatifull in this frag render, sorry.
Its looksl ike moon.
This was thing mandelbulb founded guys was looking for. The quasi-fuchsian fractal.

I guess this can be a bitt modified. Probably you can use not only circles but alsou supershapes to crate fractal. Supersphere, sphere, diamond cube etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superellipse It's the most easy way to substitute sphere with something other.  modulus = ( abs(x)^n + abs(y)^n + abs(z)^n )^(1/n) . Or  modulus = ( abs(x)^k + abs(y)^m + abs(z)^n )^(rootpower) where rootpower= 1/ cubic root of ( k*l*m) // geometric mean of power values. Of corse with abs it would be mutch faster.
But I have no idea about code nor I ever looked in any of fragmentarium formulas. But modulus walue is present in just everything generating spheres.
