The rules are as follows:

- Every user can submit ONE cool picture to become our fractal image of the month.
Images must be your own creation!  Production date is unimportant.

- Good resolution (HD mandatory, 4k preferred for print of calender if you win)
Images must be fractals, created with fractal software, postproduction is allowed.

- To participate, just post in this thread and attach the image to your post. (don't use the gallery)
Please give it a good name, and add interesting info like software/formula used, parameter sharing is very welcome!

- The first two weeks of the month are for suggestion, until the end of  the 14th of the month,   00.00 hr. midnight  (A'dam time)
   Check your local time here:
   https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- You can vote for each entry once (using our voting system bronze, silver and gold -  1, 2 and 3 points)
This voting period is from the beginning of the contest, until the end of the 28th of the month. You can change your vote during the
entire period.  Voting will be stopped at 00.00 hr.  midnight  A'dam time.  Check your local time here:
  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- Top3  will be displayed in in the Winners gallery when voting is closed, and at the end of the year in a best of the year
  thread/galleryslideshow.
  https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- We want to revive the printed fractal calendar idea. So any submitter automatically accepts that his image will be used in the
  calender if it wins.
(all money from the calendar goes into the further development of fractalforums.)

- After the winners are announced, the winning images will be presented in the 'gallery of fame' to honor the winners and their Art.
The winning images are presented in this new gallery, which will grow to become a "best of" gallery:
https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- Post any questions, or suggestions you have here: https://fractalforums.org/fractal-image-of-the-month/70/fractal-image-of-the-month-discussion-thread/150

Please start admitting your best work now and most off all.... have Fun!

Haunted Dreams

Using one of those weird formulas created searching for a perfect Mandelbulb formula ;)

If viewing full-size (1080 high) then do *not* look for faces in the image :D

Inside the Burning Ship

excerpt from a failed experimental attempt at interior checking for the Burning Ship,
coloured by period (hue) and Lyapunov exponent (brightness) of
attractors reached by Newton's method, which are
not necessarily reachable by repeated iterations of the iteration formula itself

Found somewhere on my HD a .frag coded by utak3r (thank you for sharing!  :worship:) featuring texturing.
Added quite a few options (see attachement), and found only later that most have been used long ago. Re-inventing the wheel, etc  :fp:
Wanted to add use of image as heightmap too, but failed miserably  :)) :)) :)) Someday, hopefully...

Congrats to the winner.

There are very few votes, maybe a good idea to post a "call for votes" a few days before the deadline?
