Image of the month contest.   The rules are as follows:

- Every user can submit ONE cool picture to become our fractal image of the month.
  Images must be your own creation! Production date is unimportant.

- Good resolution (HD mandatory) Please give it a good name, and add interesting info like software/formula used, parameter sharing is very welcome!
   Images must be fractals, created with fractal software, postproduction is allowed.

- To participate, just post in this thread and attach the image to your post. (don't use the gallery)

- The first two weeks of the month are for suggestion, until the end of  the 14th of the month,   00.00 hr. midnight  (A'dam time)
   Check your local time here:
   https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- You can vote for each entry once (using our voting system bronze, silver and gold -  1, 2 and 3 points) Thumbs are nice, but don't count.
  This voting period is from the beginning of the contest, until the end of the 27th of the month. The winners will be announced the next day, at the 28th. You can change your vote during the entire period. Voting will be stopped at 00.00 hr.  midnight  A'dam time.  Check your local time here:   https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- Top3  will be displayed in the Winners gallery when voting is closed, and at the end of the year in a best of the year
  thread/galleryslideshow.
  https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- We want to try to revive the printed fractal calendar idea. So any submitter automatically accepts that his image can be used in the
  calendar if it wins.    (all money from the calendar goes into the further development of fractalforums.)

- After the winners are announced, the winning images will be presented in the 'gallery of fame' to honor the winners and their Art.
  The winning images are presented in this gallery, which will grow to become a "best of" gallery:
https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- Post any questions, or suggestions you have here: https://fractalforums.org/fractal-image-of-the-month/70/fractal-image-of-the-month-discussion-thread/150

Please start admitting your best work now and most of all.... have Fun!   :thumbs:
Fractal Forum team.

Camels

Mandelbrot zoom in elephant valley, very close to the cardioid border, in a valley between it and an elephant-bearing bulb. These strange humpback creatures combine features of octopus, elephant, and camel.

When Gods Make Balloon Animals

This makes me think of various things. Looks like balloons with grids on. Also almost looks like the hills in super Mario world. What do you think?

I've been adding new things into Infinity Fractal. One of them is the Buddhabrot. But instead of just adding this one formula, I made so you can apply any of the existing formulas and use the buddhabrot colouring method. Some formula's make for some interesting shapes, others not so much. This uses the formula I called Mandelgrid in Infinity Fractal (for want of a better name), which is a formula that Gerrit created a little while back https://fractalforums.org/image-threads/25/gerrit-images/565/450.

Until I release the new version, the attached parameters will not work so I'll try to get that done soon.
Z = Z2 + C (obvs)

Title "Think different".

Deep mini using latest Kalles Fractaler implementing \( z \leftarrow z^2e^{a/z} +c \).
Mandelbrot set reveals new features no matter how deep you zoom (some people disagree, but some think the earth is flat).
The new features are the decorations around the minis. The minis look like the original (leading some misguided individuals to think the are "the same") but they are all subtly different. Their shapes are different (you need a hyper-carpenter's eye to see this though) but the decorations are obviously different, except for the blind.

This formula, when using the critical orbit, has many Mandelbrot minis, but their decorations are different.

Soft Eruption Crest

Ultra Fractal

The basis of the formula is:
Initialise:
k=q=z=w=@start
c=pixel
Iterate:
w=-0.15*(k-w)+k*z*q
k=0.855*(w+k)-w*z*q
z=-z+w*k*q
q=-1.05*q+w*k*z+c

"Space elevator"

Triplex filled-in Julia set: An infinity of elevators - the main cubicle is attached to a pole extending vertically. Auxiliary and emergency elevators are on wait.

{x,y,z}_new := { 2xy , 2xz² , x²-y3 } + { -1 , 0 , -1 }

Computed in 3D in 2^36 voxels, 2D image downscaled 2:1 and saved with 90% jpeg quality to reduce graining, uncolored.

"Quartic polynomial"
This month Xaos return to be developened, so I decide use it to post an image.
It is from

The user formula to Xaos is z^4+z*{-0.38818359375;0.015625}+C
