 The rules are as follows:

- Every user can submit ONE cool picture to become our fractal image of the month.
  Images must be your own creation! Production date is unimportant.

- Good resolution (HD mandatory) Please give it a good name, and add interesting info like software/formula used, parameter sharing is very welcome!
   Images must be fractals, created with fractal software, postproduction is allowed.

- To participate, just post in this thread and attach the image to your post. (don't use the gallery)

- The first two weeks of the month are for suggestion, until the end of  the 14th of the month,   00.00 hr. midnight  (A'dam time)
   Check your local time here:
   https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- You can vote for each entry once (using our voting system bronze, silver and gold -  1, 2 and 3 points) Thumbs are nice, but don't count.
  This voting period is from the beginning of the contest, until the end of the 27th of the month. The winners will be announced the next day, at the 28th. You can change your vote during the entire period. Voting will be stopped at 00.00 hr.  midnight  A'dam time.  Check your local time here:
  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- Top3  will be displayed in in the Winners gallery when voting is closed, and at the end of the year in a best of the year
  thread/galleryslideshow.
  https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- We want to try to revive the printed fractal calendar idea. So any submitter automatically accepts that his image will be used in the
  calender if it wins.    (all money from the calendar goes into the further development of fractalforums.)

- After the winners are announced, the winning images will be presented in the 'gallery of fame' to honor the winners and their Art.
  The winning images are presented in this new gallery, which will grow to become a "best of" gallery:
https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- Post any questions, or suggestions you have here: https://fractalforums.org/fractal-image-of-the-month/70/fractal-image-of-the-month-discussion-thread/150

Please start admitting your best work now and most off all.... have Fun!   :thumbs:
Fractal Forum team.

Plasmoid

Found in a randomly generated formula using et, rendered at 9000x8000 and cropped/downscaled later (so the image comment metadata coordinates are slightly off-center).

Behold! A Long-Fingered Saturnian Passes By.

Ultra Fractal

The formula is:

Initialise:
z=pixel
z1=z
z2=0
k=tanh(z)-1
k1=k
k2=0

Iterate:
z=z-0.2*sqr(z)
k=k-0.2*sqr(k)
w=z
z=(z-1)^2+a*z*z2+(k+1)^2+b*k*k2+d*k+c
k=(k-1)^2+a*w*z2+(w+1)^2+b*k*k2+f*w+c
z2=z1
k2=k1

where a, b, c, d, f are complex parameters

UF params available here https://sta.sh/09cipm1vp5s

Fragmentarium is not a toy, it is a very versatile tool that can be used to make toys ;)

Unconnected

A complex menger hybrid with many beautiful details carefully built from 4 components and refined with fog and light effects. File is attached (Mandelbulber 2.19 required!).

Due some noise at the corners of the open connections the image has been denoised with my denoising method (using two images with same settings, https://fractalforums.org/mandelbulb-maniacs/46/new-technique-to-denoise-noisy-mandelbulb3d-images/760/msg14055#msg14055).

A little bit contrast and a slight denoising have been added afterwards.

Classical Newton iteration picture for random degree (77,79) rational function.
Color = root ID. Brightness = how fast did it find the root from there.

Light Attack

Created using Infinity Fractal 1.0.15 (new version in downloads section) making use of a new embossed style colouring and several glowing edges methods.
Z = Z2 + C (obvs)

Daddy Longlegs vs. the Plastic Crabs

Lyapunov fractal, created with Lyapunov Pagoda (then downscaled to fit the size limit).

Hey, aren't you jumping the gun a bit? Previously this was done on the 28th, not the 27th.
