The rules are as follows:

- Every user can submit ONE cool picture to become our fractal image of the month.
Images must be your own creation!  Production date is unimportant.

- Good resolution (HD mandatory, 4k preferred for print of calendar)
Images must be fractals, created with fractal software, post-production is allowed.

- To participate, just post in this thread and attach the image to your post. (don't use the gallery)
Please give it a good name, and add interesting info like software/formula used, parameter sharing is very welcome!

- The first two weeks of the month are for suggestion, until the end of  the 14th of the month,   00.00 hr. midnight  (A'dam time)
   Check your local time here:
   https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- You can vote for each entry once (using our voting system bronze, silver and gold -  1, 2 and 3 points)
This voting period is from the beginning of the contest, until the 28th of the month. You can change your vote during the
entire period. Voting will be stopped at 00.00 hr.  midnight  A'dam time.  Check your local time here:
  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- Top3  will be displayed in in the Winners gallery when voting is closed, and at the end of the year in a best of the year
  thread/galleryslideshow.
  https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- We want to try to revive the printed fractal calendar idea. So any submitter automatically accepts that his image will be used in the
calender if it wins.    (all money from the calendar goes into the further development of fractalforums.)

- After the winners are announced, the winning images will be presented in the 'gallery of fame' to honor the winners and their Art.
The winning images are presented in this new gallery, which will grow to become a "best of" gallery:
https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- Post any questions, or suggestions you have here: https://fractalforums.org/fractal-image-of-the-month/70/fractal-image-of-the-month-discussion-thread/150

Please start admitting your best work now and most off all.... have Fun!
Fractal Forum team.

Intertwist

Matchmaker Julia fractal with a shiny green coloring in one basin (has a component depending on angle of approach to attractor) and a bronze coloring in the other. Both attractors exist and are cycles.

Thin film interference

This one is based on the physcal phenomenon that gives soap bubbles their colours in addition to a few other cases like anodized aluminium.

Software: Kalles Fraktaler
Formula: General quadratic abs plus

"Wings of darkness"

Sectionally defined Lyapunov image, computed in 8K and downsized to 3K width to reduce strong graining in the wings. Calculcated using a self-coded C++ program.
Colouring by simple linear interpolation in several Lyapunov value intervals.

Buddhabrot String Theory

First I found 100 million Mandelbrot set orbits that each take between 500,000 and 5,000,000,000 iterations to escape, then I drew only the first 32 iterations of each. Rendered with custom c++ code.
Check out the Mandelmap poster
