The rules are as follows:

- Every user can submit ONE cool picture to become our fractal image of the month.
Images must be your own creation!  Production date is unimportant.

- Good resolution (HD mandatory, 4k preferred for print of calender if you win)
Images must be fractals, created with fractal software, postproduction is allowed.

- To participate, just post in this thread and attach the image to your post. (don't use the gallery)
Please add interesting info like software/formula used, parameter sharing is very welcome!

- The first two weeks of the month are for suggestion, until the end of  the 14th of the month,   00.00 hr. midnight  (A'dam time)
   Check your local time here:
   https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- The second half of the month is for voting (using our voting system bronze, silver and gold -  1, 2 and 3 points)
This period is from the beginning of the 15th, until the end of the 28th of the month.  Voting  will be stopped at 00.00 hr. midnight
A'dam time.  Check your local time here:
  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

- Top3  will be displayed in in the Winners gallery when voting is closed, and at the end of the year in a best of the year
  thread/galleryslideshow.
  https://fractalforums.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=25

- We want to revive the printed fractal calendar idea. So any submitter automatically accepts that his image will be used in the
  calender if it wins.
(all money from the calendar goes into the further development of fractalforums.)

- Post any questions, or suggestions you have here: https://fractalforums.org/fractal-image-of-the-month/70/fractal-image-of-the-month-discussion-thread/150

Please start admitting your best work now and most off all.... have Fun!
Fractal Forum team.

Title:  Echoes of Elephants

Mandelbrot set distance estimation.  Location found with a variation on https://mathr.co.uk/blog/2014-11-18_navigating_in_the_hairs.html , this one has period 1573, zooming near a period 341 embedded Julia set in a hair off the 1/18 bulb of a period 19 mini near the 7/18 bulb (the month of this contest).  Calculated with Kalles Fraktaler 2.13, coloured using DE histogram (custom code processing a .kfb map file).  Post processed (multiple layers with various thresholds/blurs/combinations) in GIMP, then downscaled from 16384x16384.

Fractal made with the program YAFE. To my knowledge, this software doesn't allow to save parameters. Hue edited with Gimp.
You can find this fractal at 7680x4320 pixels in my Flickr page.
Title of the image: Holly Leaf.
