Can't upload a visible picture in the JWildfire gallery
« on: October 03, 2021, 12:27:18 PM »
Strange, uploading a picture in the Jwildfire didn't work after I pasted the code in  it. First no code but visible picture. Now the code is ok, but the picture is not visible. Only as a pictogram.
I tried several times but no picture.  I left it this way so maybe you can see what's the problem.

No hurry, no problem ;)
Have a nice Sunday.

part of the problem is that the first line in those settings is over 7k !!! 7,085 chars.

secondly it contains < and > chars for tags... just like in HTML which is not allowed

solution ... edit the  entry, replace
...
with [nobbc] ... [/nobbc] to prevent the bbc parser from looking at that text and trying to deal with tags it doesn't recognize and lines that exceed 4096 chars.

a better solution would be to start an image thread, post the big ones in the gallery and link the medium thumbnail in a post with the settings attached as a zip file.

your image is actually there, just not showing because the parser can't figure it out and just displays nothing instead. remove the settings or change the code tags and it shows fine.

1. Go to the gallery.

2. Select "My Images".

3. Under the image in question select "Edit"

4. Change
...your settings here...
to [nobbc] ... your settings here ... [/nobbc] (just edit the opening and closing tags)

5. At the bottom of the page there is a small thumbnail of your image, right above that is a button "Edit Picture", click that to save the changes.

Done.
