I posted a new image at:
www.deviantart.com/gs13/art/Gs13-Deviantart-072-786600210

Gerson that's a great image. I like how you've made something with my program that I wouldn't have and it still looks striking. More proof that art is created by the person using the software, not the software's creator.  :thumbs:

Yours parameters were a good beggining...

I was trying RenderToDisk program. It is a good feature, thanks for implement it.
I tested with 4800 and 6400. Results are good but the difference of time from 4800 to 6400 was very big.
With the computer I tested, 4800 took less than one hour but 6400 I needed to let it rendering some nights (I didnt note but I think it took more than 40hs).

Yes, it's excruciatingly slow. It may not just be the resolution that made the difference. If you use any of the colouring techniques that rely on cross-pixel checking, such as Embossed or Edges only, it will need to keep a matrix of 21x21 pixels in memory for reference. Each of these pixels needs to be calculated so it takes time. I'm currently rendering one myself at 10k x 10k super-sampled 5x5 including such colouring and the ETA jumps between 120 and 250 DAYS!!! I am patiently waiting with matches holding my eyelids open.

NEW VERSION 1.0.11

Some general improvements which will hopefully make it more useable :)

Added a new option in RenderToDisk.exe to split a parameter file into sub-parameter files so it is possible to render several tiles of the image at once (but you'll need to stitch manually).
Added keyboard shortcuts to the menus.
Added default generated filename when saving.
Added quick-save option which will save both the image and parameter file (Ctrl+S shortcut).
Added auto-scroll for main control panel as not all controls were displayed in lower resolutions.
Fixed an issue where the colouring mode drop-down would disappear after toggling the layers control.
Fixed issue where the zoom box was always visible but now disappears when the mouse leaves the image.
Fixed issue where the zoom box did not move to the current mouse location after rendering.
Added optional center guide (Ctrl+Shift+C) to make it easier to align the image.
Added Help screen available from Help menu.
Added Release Notes screen available from link on About screen.

Split parameter are great. It will be good if there are a way to rendertodisk automaticaly render all parts. Maybe some comand that with the base name it renders all splited files.
Control+s are very good too.
About name, I prefer date before type, like InfinityFractal-20190520-160130-Buffalo instead
InfinityFractal-Buffalo-20190520-160130, but it is ok like that.
I will continuing test it and more suggestions will come.
Thanks a lot.

Glad you like the changes. I'm currently working on a GUI for RenderToDisk so you can split a render into many parts and it will put all the images together at the end. Squashing bugs at the moment. I'll look into making the default save file name customisable in the .config file.

NEW VERSION 1.0.12

Changes:
Removed calculation power menu options.
Added parameters to main control panel.
Can now specify different power for newton part of combined fractals.
Added more colouring modes (some existing modes but with in-colouring).
Added RenderToDisk GUI (may not be 100% perfect).

I am a bit confusing about that julia box. When is it used?
Why limit power to integer?
Thanks again.

Julia Const is used only once you've selected Julia mode from the menu. You can specify the const C value. Eg:

Mandelbrot:
  Z = (0, 0)
  C = (x, y)
  loop: Z = Z2 + C

Julia:
  Z = (x, y)
  C = (JuliaConst.R, JuliaConst.I)
  loop: Z = Z2 + C

The calculation power has always been fixed as an integer but with a limit of 2 - 8. Now you can put whatever int value in. I can change it to a double I suppose.

Something is not working well with julia. Sometimes it not refresh the image. See image below.
About power, is it could do something like this z^(3.5)+c?

Hmmm. Will look into the issue with Julia. Just experimenting with doubles for power. I never even considered this a possibility so you've opened my eyes to the possibility of fractals proving the theory of multiple universes.

I expect you've just entered a const value for Julia that results in all pixels escaping immediately. So a blank image is what you'll get.
