Hi!
Currently and at ff1.com whenever you upload an image to the gallery it automatically generates a thread like this:

The gallery provides no option to the user to choose if or not to create such a thread.
Also the preview image is tiny and a click on it only opens the tiny image in a box.
But we can disable that function globally.
If we disable it and you want to show your image in the forums as well as in the gallery you will need to create a thread manually using the bb image codes you find at the bottom of the images gallery page.


Why?
-let the user decide if he wants to create a thread or not.
-avoid "spamming" the forum with many image threads when you upload many images just to have them in your gallery
-embedding images with the bbcode will present them as large images instead of the tiny preview. It will look better and you don't have to use 3 more clicks to get to a full screen view.

Why not?
-you have to create a thread manually
-maybe less activity in the forums
