some of my computer based art works (including several fractal pieces) from 2008-2021 are exhibited soon

https://mathr.co.uk/smoltech/#exhibition

CT20, 73 Tontine Street, Folkestone CT20 1JR, United Kingdom, http://ct-20.org

opening Friday 26th November 2021, 7pm
artist talk Saturday 4th December 2021, 5pm
until Saturday 11th December 2021

the greenest technology is the one you already have

Quote
... One thing I've noticed when developing new work, is that the computational load performed by the piece has tendency to expand to fill the computational power available to it. ... So there is this temptation to buy a new, faster machine. I've fallen for it a few times. But now I think I have had enough of new technology, especially given the climate catastrophe that is approaching fast. We need to stop making and buying so much new hardware and use the hardware we have for much longer ...

All the best with the exhibition, claude. I read the background material on the exhibits and workshops, sounds very interesting. Your remarks on tech waste are spot on, well said!

Looking at this it makes me wanting to live in UK, not some small/useless and boring country with only thing in mind, how to eat and pay the bills. And traditional native arts
Totaly agree on everything. Alsou omatidia is cool. I could be wrong but the bees recognises two colours, yellow and blue, or maybe alsou ultra violet. So no red flowers in temperate Europe. But the flies could have different gamma, they especialy like dark brown red aka corspe flowers.
